playoffs this season as the 5th seed after finishing the regular season with an overall record of 5-9-1 and a 5-6 conference record. ECCC ended their season in a tightly contested double OT battle in the Region 23 quarterfinals to Itawamba.

East Central Community College’s cross-country teams proved competi tive in their inaugural seasons. Head coach Kenneth Thompson led the men’s and women’s teams. The teams competed in the three meets this fall. “Considering that we started the program around mid-season, I thought the team did a great job getting into shape by the end of the season. How ever, we were not able to get all the way to the form we needed since we were about seven weeks behind ev

Powell and King were top 100 finish ers in the Women’s 5000m Divison III at nationals with 24:52:10 and 28:35:20, respectively. While Clark posted a 100 finish at men’s nationals with a 31:33:20.
