Lady Warriors tiedfor first

The Lady Warriors are currently in a th:roo-way tie for first place in South DiVision play with Jones and Southwest. East Central traveled to Summit on Mon day for a doubleheader against Southwest Mississippi Community College. ECCC women 61, Pearl River 47 The East Central Lady Warriors erupted for 30 points in the fir t period to set the pace in a 61-47 MACJC South Division win over the Pearl River Lady WUdcats. The win was the eighth straight for East Central, which has not lost since Dec. 7, 2015. The Lady Warriors never trailed in the contest, and jumped out to a 20-point lead

With a little less than a month left in the regular season, the East Central Community College Lady Warriors are within reach of a South Division title. The Lady Warriors beat Pearl River 61-47 and then held on to beat Hinds 76-69 on Thursday nigbt. The Lady Warriors stand at 13-2 on the season and 5-1 In MACJC South Division play and have won eight straight games. "We are playing pretty good right now," ECCC coach Crandal Porter said. "We aren't a<> consistent as I would like us to be. We are able to come out and get the win, which is good, but we are also looking at the schedule too much. And that will get you beat. I thought we played a perfect game and got win at Co-Lin and then didn't play well against Hinds. I just want us to play the whole 40 minutes and do what we are sup posed to do."
