EC women'stennis downs MMI The East Central Commu nity College Lady Warriors beat Marion Military Institute 6-3 in a tennis match played March 4 on the Decatur cam pus. Results from the match are as follows: Singles: EC's Chaney Mills of Newton County High School fell to Stella Fedele, 0-6, 0-6; EC's Brooke Payne of Union High School fell to Victoria Johnson, 4-6, 1-6; EC's Andi McCrimon of Winston Acad emy beat Kaitlyn Lewis, 6-0, 6 1; EC's Samantha McCrimon of Wmston Academy beat Brittany Everson, 6-0, 6-0; EC's Emily Dykeman of For est HJgb School and Hannah Payne of Union High School both won via forfeit. Doubles: EC's Mills/B. Payne fell to Fedele/Johnson, 5-8; EC's H. Payne/Dykeman beat Lewis/Everson, 8-4 and EC's McCrimon/McCrimon won via forfeit. The women's team overall record improves to 3-5. East Central's netters will play on the road against Itawamba Community College in Fulton on Thursday. The matches start at 2 p.m.
