The No. 10 East Central Community College base ball team rallied from a six run deficit, but in the end fell one run short of the No. 3 Jones County Junior Col lege Bobcats in the champi onship game of the 2016 National Junior College Athletic Association Region 23 Baseball Tournament Sunday, May 22, at the Clark/Gay Baseball Com plex in Decatur. With the 6-5 win Sunday, Jones County moves on to represent Region 23 in the NJCAA Division Il Baseball World Series in Enid, Okla., May 28-June 4. It was the seventh time the two teams had met dur ing the 2016 season and the fourth time the game was decided by a single run.
