Deans' Scholars are those with a cumula tive 3.5-3.9 grade point average. Locals recognized were: Kadaisha Brown and Myi Fikes, both of Meridian; Haleigh Mof fettt of Bailey; Johnathan Smith of Collinsville; Janese Jones of Lake; Shelby Dearing ofNewton; Mason Farmer of Philadel phia; Jessica Paul of Philadel phia; and Elizabeth Burgess of Quitman. • TROY, Ala. - Ashley Dunn of Philadelphia, Miss., has been named to the Provost's List at Troy University for Term 3 of the 2015/2016 academic year. The Provost's List honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65. Term 3 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with students outside of Alabama and online.

NSCS has over one million life time members and 300 chapters in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Jimison·was valedictorian ofher 2015 graduating class at Northeast Elementary School. She currently attends Mississippi State University in Starkville, where she is stud}ing veterinary medicine. She was recently inducted in the Alpha Lamda Delta Chapter at MSU. Harrington was named to the First Team and received a $1,000 scholarship. Logue was lapped for the All Mississippi Academic Second Team. Both team mem bers received special medallions, certificates and printed resolu tions from each chamber of the Mississippi Legislature. They are also eligible for scholarships at many senior institutions designed
The Mississippi team is orga nized by the Mississippi Associ ation of Community and Junior College, the Mississippi Commu nity College Board and Phi Theta Kappa, the international academic honor society. The All-State Acad~mic Team recognition program is an outgrowth of the All-USA Com munity College Academic Team, administered by PTK Twenty students named to the team will be featured April 12 in USA Today and receive $100,000 in scholarships. Harringon is from Houston and is an education major; Logue is from Meridian and is a com puter engineering major.
