PTK INDUCTION Twenty-one East Central Community College students were recently Inducted Into Theta XI chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges. Inductees and their respective hometowns include from left front: Christian Kelly, Lake; lee Bowen, Philadelphia; Katherine Moran, Pascagoula; Genieveve Nichols, Newton; Haley Ezelle, Carthage; Melanie Brashier, Decatur; Chan dler Posey and Kimberty Watkins, both of Philadelphia; Jasmine Payton, Carthage; and Cheyenne Bradley, Union. Second row: Brit tany Rasco, Pascagoula; Austin Anderton, Carthage; Brady McElhenney, Union; Shelly Dowell, Lena; Erick Bishop and Samm Thomp son, both of Decatur; Taylor Phllllps, Emily Crenshaw, Kinsey Gentry and Sydney Battle, all of Philadelphia; and Kaitlin Thrash, Madi son. Phi Theta Kappa's mission is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students. Members must have completed at least 12 hours of course work that may be applied to an associate degree and must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. - J
