She told supervisors that they were running out of time to designate a polling place tor Southeast Philadelphia.

"We've got to have a bandald If not a full fledged fix," she said. "At the end of the day you're responsible to pick the precincts. You can't wait untll your next meeting to make a decision.• District 3 Election Commissioner Harold Richardson told supervisors he was lSO percent against the career Tech Center being the polling place.

"It Is no place to have a quality election," he said, "but If y'all say have it out there, that's is not my choice."

He voiced concern over constant school bus and private vehicle traffic at the center throughout the day.

"It's the third largest precinct In the county with 1, 100 or 1,200 people coming and going in a day's time to vote," Richardson said.

Election Commissioner Ruby Breazeale told supervisors that the coliseum was an available option as well.

District 5 Supervisor Obble Riley said some voters in Southeast Philadelphia wouldn't want to travel to the other side of town to cast ballots.

Breazeale disagreed.

"They go to Wal-Mart 12 times a day," she said in a jokingly manner.

Richardson pointed to the recent school bond issue where all voters cast ballots at the school.

"Everyone came to that one place and people made comments about why can't they do this all the time. c;pvpr.::.I rn11ntfpc; rfn .. h2t " ho c:iii,.C
