"I went and tried out and later Coach Chaney called me and we talked about signing." Williams was glad to see McMillan sign. "I think it's a big deal for our program," Williams said. "She's the third player to sign in three years for us. Before that, we had never had a player to sign. So that's a big deal for us and shows how far we have come as a program."

Chaney said she was im pressed with McMillan at the plate. "She came and tried out and hit it really well," Chaney said. "That's what really sold us. Plus, she's a big, strong kid and is only gQlngto get better. "And she didn't play tour nament ball so she didn't get the exposure of some of these kids. She's gQt plenty
