Lake's Melanie McMillan was close to being over- looked by the state's fast

of East Central Community College coach Kristen Chaney, she left no doubt that she could play at the next level. McMillan signed with East Cenb·al on Thursday, round ing out a huge signing class for the Lady Warriors. McMillan was third on the team with a .397 average, driving in 18 runs with two doubles and three triples. As a junior, she hit .448.
