JUCO SOFTBALL ECCC secures home playoff series after sweep

Caitlyn Aldous out of Petal High School had a two run single in the fifth for the Lady Diamond War riors. Lacey Hill, a product of Kilbourne (La.) High School, got the win in the circle giving up two runs on only three hits over seven innings while striking out 13 batters. In Game 2, won by East Central 11-8, Gibson again first with a two-run home run in the top of the first inning. Southwest would tie the game in the bottom of the inning and take a 3 2 lead in the second inning. The Southwest lead would stand until the top of the fourth when a two out double by Aldous would plate three runs got the Lady Diamond Warriors on the board
and give East Central a 5-3 lead. East Central would also pick up a run on a Summer Lavender single in the fifth. Southwest would close the gap to 6-5, until Gibson hit a three-run shot in the top of the sixth to push the East Central lead to 9-5. The Lady Dia mond Warriors added two more runs in that sixth to lead 11-5.
