Davis belted a leadoff double to put East Central's tying run in scoring position. Right fielder Blake Morton hit a sacrifice fly to send Davis to third, before Snypes' walk-off hit. "(The pitcher) got me on the first-pitch fastball, and then he threw the breaking ball, and I just picked it up," Davis said. "I tried to hit it hard, and it ended up paying off for me. For a second there, I thought it was gone. Then it hit the wall and I knew I had to get on second to help my team out. Words can't even describe it." East Central pitcher Chan ning Wall said earlier in the week that the Warriors were playing hot baseball as of late, which was reassuring for him to see. Wall, the team's closer, entered the game in reliefand earned the win. Wall didn't yield any earned runs, recorded three strikeouts and allowed three hits. "We're just a bunch of guys who don't care what the score is," Wall said, "We don't care if it's 10-0, 20-0, we're not going to quit until the final out in the last inning. That's just how we are. We're a gritty team."

"Coach (Neal Holliman) gave me the sign at first, and I missed it," Snypes said of his game-win ning hit. "I saw it again, and knew I had to come through. I got it down. I just love this team - we

fight."
