srrrrn EC women's soccer defeats Pearl River By ECCC sports information

Sophomore forward Will Stewart of Newton County High School made both goals in the Co-Lin match-up. East Centralwas able to get on the board first with Stew art's first ball goal assisted by Blake Bonds of Germantown High School. After Co-Lin tied the match, Stewart scored the game-win ner on a header assisted by Courtland Moore of Center Hill High School for the win. ECCC Women's moves to 6-0 The East Central Commu nity College women's soccer team moved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the ~1ACJC North Divi sion after defeating Hinds 1}2 Sept. 16, in Raymond. Freshman forward Sierra Maness began the scoring in the first half. Aubree Patterson and Ash ley Langham extended tbe ECCC lead to 3-1, each scor ing before the half. After the half, Haley Hutchinson scored off of a header and Maness added her second goal of the game. With five minutes left in the game Madison Deslatte added one more for ECCC.

The East Central Commu nity College women's soccer team beat Pearl River Com munity College 1-0 in two overtimes in non-division ac tion Friday, Sept. 23. The victory over the defend ing MACJC state champions improved ECCC to 8-0 on the season. The match remained score less through 90 minutes and had to go into double overtime before freshman forward Sierra Maness of Corinth High School was able to score with four minutes remaining. East Central will host Meridian Community College Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 5 p.m. in Bailey Stadium on the De catur campus. ECCC men's soccer splits non-division matches The East Central Commu nity College men's soccer team fell to Pearl River Com munity College 1-0 in overtime Friday, Sept. 23, in Bailey Sta dium, but went on the road to defeat Copiah-Lincoln Com munity College 2-1 on Satur day, Sept. 24.
