The hard work paid off Thursday for the Cathedral High School pitcher.
Al n side teammate Andrew Beesley, the two seniors signed colleg.e scholarship papers with P:k! signing with East Central Community College, and Beesley inked with Southwest Mississippi Community College. "When I was 10 years old I decided to be strictly a pitcher, and I haven't picked up a bat sbin~;ook then," Parker explained. "I haven't really played other sports. I played soccer last year - ;d falls off this year j ust so I could work o.ut and g.et ready for the season. I spen\~11 ~~~nm~~ weight or my high school years just workmg. "They want me to play second base the first year, then move to shortstop," he said. "But I'm just excited to be playing somewhere."
