MACJC BASEBALL ECCC beats Jones Co. From staff reports East Central Commu nity College overcame an 8-1 deficit and battled top seeded Jones County Junior College, winning 14-13 on a walkoffin the bottom of the ninth inning Friday in the semifinal round of the MAC]C Tournament. Trailing 8-1 in the bottom of the fourth, a Matt Mitchell home run made it 8-2 in the bottom of the fourth. JCJC scored one run in the top of the fifth inning, but a six-run bottom ofthe fifth put the Warriors in striking distance 9-8. ' The two teams would go bade and fourth the Warriors walked offon a wild pitch by Jones County in the ninth. EC~C will play at 6 p.m. today m the state title round.
