DECATUR- Northeast Missis sippi Community college quarter back Mason Cunningham passed for 297 yards and two touchdowns, while wide receiver L.J. Hawkins tallied 133 receiving yards on 12 catches as the Tigers defeated East Central Community College 24-21 Thursday night at Bailey Stadium in Decatur. Trailing 21-17 with 41 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the Tigers scored the go-ahead touchdown on fourth-and-8 when Northeast Mississippi quarter back Mason Cunningham found wide receiver PaDarius Martin, a Southeast Lauderdale High School product in the end zone to nab the come-from-behind win. The loss was East Central's second in as many weeks, as the Warriors dropped a 48-40 contest to Holmes Community College Sept. 1. "You're going to win and lose close games when you do things that are the right things detail wise," East Central head coach Ken Karcher said.
