Bucs hit century mark

The Shelton State Community College women's basketball team cracked the 100 point barrier for the fourth game in a row, and has scored 100 or more points in . five of its last six games, thanks to a 111-62 victory over East Central Community College (Miss.) on Monday. CierraJohnson led the Buccaneers in scoring with 22 points and had seven assists and four steals. Both Kim Parrish and Tan Walker finished with 15 points. Raven Russell scored 11 points and Madison Pierce had 10 points. Ashley Scott led the team in rebounds with 11.

For ECCC, Autumn Taylor scored 20 points.

No. 4 Shelton improves to 12-0. They play at Wallace Community College Selma on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

East Central Community College 71

Marcus Anthony led the Buccaneers in scoring with 17 points and had four assists. Chris Dudley finished with 12 points and four assists. Both Trae Knight and LaRon Sawyer added 11 points. Trenton Clayton led Shelton in rebounds with seven.

For ECCC, Cayman Ruffin scored 14 points.
