Lady Warriors looking for another ECCC tournament title

Newton High School at the Tigers' gym. Leading 13-10 after the first quarter, the Lady Warriors outscored Newton High 18-14 in the second quarter to go up 31-24 at the half. After an even third quarter, the Lady Warriors outscored the Lady Tigers 12-7 in the final quarter to ice the win. 'Kyarrah Grant scored 15 points to lead the Lady Warriors while Kyannah Grant added 12 points. Sarah Allen scored 10 points. The Choctaw Central boys took a 71 51 win over Newton High School to improve their record to 3-2 on the sea son. See WARRIORS, page 48

The Chocta,w Central Lady Warriors will be the defending champions when they enter the East Central Community College high school basketball tourna ment this week. The Lady Warriors have won the tournament for the past two seasons and are looking to bring home another first place trophy.
