The Warriors needed the win to secure 01 a spot in the MACJC State Tournament.

Sophomore Randy Phillips out of Lanier High School 01 put up double-digit scoring for the fourth game in a row, leading the game's scorers with 19 points. Keion Peoples out of Ridgeway (Tenn.) High School added 16 points and Prince McDaniel out of Pascagoula High School put up 11 points. Tonzell Handy, a freshman out of Lanier High School, brought down eight rebounds for the Warriors. The MACJC South Division Champion East Central Lady Warriors will travel to Itawamba Community College to face East Mississippi's Lady Lions in the MACJC State Tournament quarterfinals Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m. EMCC is one of two teams to defeat East Central this season.
