ECCC men 79, Southwest 74 OT Sopbomore guard Prince McDaniel poured in 29 points to lead the Warriors past the Bears in overtime. The Pascagoula High School product was red-bot from the field hitting 6-o'f-7 two-point shots and 3-of-4 three-point shots in the win. He sbot 82 percent for the g'fillle and also pulled down a team-high six rebounds. The Warriors had to battle back from an early 9-0 deficit. East Central took its first lead, 18--17, with 6:58 to go in the first half and moved out to a 35-28 halftime lead. The Warriors extended that lead to as many as nine in the sec ond half before the Bears tied the score at 67-67 with five seconds remaining in the game to force overtime.

.uq.rJ'OVed to 10-6 overall on the season and 5-2 in MACJC South Division play. The Southwest Bears fell to 9-6 and 4-3 in the South Division. ECCC men 80, Meridian 69 Ravion Henry scored 15 to lead four players in double fig ures as the Warriors won their fifth straight game with an 11-point win over Merid ian. ~ophomore center Randy Phillips had his second straight solid offensive outing with 17 points. Sophomore guards Keion Peoples and Prince McDaniel each had 14. The East Central Warriors improved to 11-6 overall on the season and 6-2 in MA.CJC South Division play. The Meridian Eagles fell to 5-12 and 1-7 in the South Division.

In the overtime, Southwest pulled out to a quick four point lead before East Central took control and scored the final eight points of the game for the win. Sophomore guard Ravion Henry added 15 points for the Warriors, sophomore center Randy Phillips chipped in 13, and freshman forward TonzellHandybad 10. The East Central Warriors
