Nursing scholarship is established at ECCC The Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (M-OADN) and ASNEC Scholarship was recently established at East Central Community College in Decatur. The new scholarship was established in Jan– uary 2015 to honor the profession of nursing, specifical– ly the associate degree nurse. M-OADN is a state organization primarily interested in working to retain the registered nurse title and the scope of practice for the associate degree nurse. ASNEC is the Association of Student Nurses at East Central Community College. M-OADN and ASNEC work together to promote agency participation and profession– alism of the associate degree nurse at East Central Com– munity College. The scholarship will be awarded annually to the pres– ident ofASNEC.
