Evans is beginning his 33rd year as a family physician with Laurel Family Clinic, which provides traditional primary care in family medicine. Among Evans' honors are his selection as the sixth recipient of the Arthur DerrickAward, given annually to a physician for out– standing efforts to contribute to the quality of medical care in Mississippi. He was also elected by his medical peers to The Best Doctors in America for the past 15 )ears and was named Laurel Leader Call's Best Doctor on four occasions, an honor based on a public opinion poll hosted b) tbe local newspaper. Hannah was a member of the 1956 and 1957 Warrior football teams before continuing his ath– letic career at the University of South Carolina, where he played two seasons for the Gamecocks.
