East Central CC drops 2 to ]ones Co. East Central Commu– nity College's fast-pitch softball squad dropped a pair of decisions to Jones County J unior College The Lady Diamond Warriors were blanked 10-0 in the opener and fell 8-4 in the second con– test of the MACJC South Division doubleheader. Fo11owing the setback, EC's record stands at 12- 4 overall and 0-2 in league action. The Lady Bobcats are 2-0 in the division and 12-0 overall. In the first game, the Lady Warriors could only muster two hits against JCJC in a five-inning shutout. Karoline Hol– sonback and Summer Lavender each had a single. Holsonback is a product of South Lamar High School in Kennedy, Ala., and Lavender hails from Canton Academy. Lacey Hill took the seven earned runs on 11 hits. She als~ fanned two batters and walked two. Hill is a pr oduct of Kil– bourne (La.) High School. In the second game, Mahalia Gibson of Oak Grove had a home run, a single and racked up two RBis to lead the Lady Warrior offense. loss.
