In the women's actlon, East Central outs hot Itawamba 13-3, but came up on the short end of the 2-1 score. Freshman de– fender GabbyGross got the East Cenh·al goal. The Warriors will play their season finale Friday, Oct. 23, at home in Decatur against Pearl River Com– munity College. The match b<.'gins at 4 p.m.

The East Central Com– munity College women's so<.'l'<'r team could have clinched the Mississippi Association of Community and .Junior Colleges North Division title with a win over Holmt's CommunHy College on Oct. 16, but the two teams fought to a 1-1 tic. In the men's match, an East Central win would have put the Warriors into postseason play as well, but the Holmes men pulled out a 1--0 win. The Warriors still ha\·e a chance to make the state tournament, but must wait on the results of other MACJC matche this week.
