ECCCsquads sweep Gulf Coast teams By STEVE SWOGETINSKY Sports Editor East Central Community College basketball teams continued their win ning ways with victories over MACJC South Division foe Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Thursday in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium. In the women's contest, East Central defeated the Lady Bulldogs 86 64 co improve their record to 17-2 overall and 8-2 in division play. Jaleshia Jones, a sophomore guard/forward and product of ~ayne County High School. pumeed m 19 points to lead the Lady Wamors. Also scoring in double fi~ were Tashi-Ana Thompson, 16: Shakerya Morrison. 12: and Samantha Duncan, 10. Other scorers were Breona Foster of Neshoba Central, nine; Johnta Hu®esm five; Tynika Bender, four, Rolonda Washington. three. Markeisha Watson and Cilinda Brown had 15 points each to lead the GulfCoast women, who fell to 6-11 , 1 5. EC held a 44-31 advantage at the break. In men's action. the Warriors won 90- 7'J and improved to 11-8 overall and 64 in the south division. Isaiah Traylor was the leading scor er for the East Centrdl with 23 points.
