ECCC soccer squads Shutout Southwest CC

EC. Johnson is a fresh man forward/keeper from Destrehan (LA) High School, and Alvarez is a sophomore forward from Forest. Connor Brennan and Landry Lofton were cred ited with scoring assists. Brennan is a freshman midfielder from Pearl, and Lofton is a sophomore forward from Pascagoula. The Warriors are 1-3-0 in league play. EC soccer squads were scheduled host Copiab Lincoln Community Col lege Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Decatur. The non-division contests will be played for the first time at night at EC and on the new syn thetic turf at Bailey Stadi um. Game times are 5 and 7 p m. for the historic e~vent.

Cavett is a freshman for ward from Jackson Mur rah. Gabby Stapp was cred ited with a scoring assist on Turner's first goal, and Katelyn Denton received scoring assists on Turn er's final two goals. Stapp is a freshman midfielder from West Harrison High School and Denton is a freshman midfielder from Lewisburg. The Lady Warriors currently sit atop the MACJC North Division standings with a 3-0-1 record. Northwest is sec orul at 2-0-2. • Ladies go to 8-1-1; men 3-0-1 in North East Central Commu nity College's soccer squads recorded victories over Southwest Mississip pi Community College teams in non-division action Friday, Sept. 26 on the Decatur campus. The Lady Warriors cruised to a 4-0 shutout over the visiting Lady Bears and improved to 8 1-1 overall under head coach Gray Massey. The Southwest women fell to 2-10-0. Allie Turner was top scorer for EC, as the freshman midfielder from Horn Lake tallied three goals and was credited with a scoring assist on Tamia Cavett's goal.
