ECCC golfer qualifies for national tourney From school reports East Central Commu nity College sophomore golfer Sawyer Williams has qualified to compete in the NJCM National Golf Tourna ment May 20-23 at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Ind. Williams, a product of Parkers Chapel High Wllllams School in Eldorado, Ark., earned a berth in the prestigious event based on his season scoring average. He recorded rounds of 82 and 73 for a 153 total in the Region 23 Tourna ment this past weekend on the Wolf Hollow Golf Course at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson. Williams finished four strokes behind tour nament medalist Danny , De Los Santos of Missis- . sippi Gulf Coast Commu nity College in the 36-hole event. Sophomores Taylor York and Aaron Tucker also represented ECCC in the Region 23 Tourna ment. York posted scores of 80 and 77 for a 157 total, and Tucker had rounds of 78 and 81 for a 159 total. York is a product of ' Choctaw Central, and Tucker hails from Leake Central High School.
