expectations for success remain high for Eru;t Central Community College's basketball teams for the 2013-2014 season. Only one starter returns on Crandal Porter's Lady Warrior squad, which finished 8-15 over– all and 5-7 in the MACJC SoutJ1 Division in 2012-13. Although his current squad is mostly composed of freshmen, Porter said several players have experienced success on ilie hard– wood. " I like that iliis team is made of a lot of local kids who have won championships and are used to winning," said the secortd-year head coach, who captured sever– al state titles leading basketball programs at Newton High School. "Hopefully their success will carry over to our program." Porter further describes his players as a "blue collar" squad... .a "tough team that plays hard."
