East Central Community College head baseball coach Neal Holliman was named 2013 MACJC Baseball Coach of the Year in recognition of his team's championship season. Holliman, shown dis– playing a plaque received in recognition of the honor, led the Diamond Warriors to the MACJC State Championship and a berth in the Region 23 Tourna– ment en route to a 32-21 record. The talented EC squad also received national recognit ion throughout the successful campaign and was ranked as high as 16th in the NJCAA Division II Baseball Poll. The 2013 championship represents the second state title for Coach Holliman, who led his first Diamond Warrior squad to the prestigious honor in 2007. He also received MACJC Coach of the Year honors following the 2007 season. Holliman has a record of 200 wins and 159 losses during his seven years at the helm. He is married to the former Tracy Blackburn of Decatur and they have two young sons - Levi and Hayes.
