At first it was 20 pitches a couple oftimes a "eek, then 40 pitches, and finally 95-• Though he didn't play in anygames, McKee pitched in some ECCC scrimmages during his freshman year. He wa; ready when his sophomoreyear came around. McKee went 8·2 o n the mound and led ECCC pitchers with a 3.13 earned run a,·ernge. McKee also led in strikeouts "ith 83. McKee also received the Diamond Warriors' Scholar Athlete (lwurd after posting J 4.0 gpa. and was a co-recipient ofthe Jamie Clark Memorial Award.

"He is an awesome young man," ECCC Coach Neal Holliman said. "He wus a tremendous as.et to our program as a person and player.

"Caleb plans to attend Mississippi State and continue playing and his degree. lie has 3 years remaining. He will be a walk-on, but I expect him to make it. He turned do"n man) 0-1 and D-ll offers from ,.el) good programs to follow hi~ desire to play at State," Holliman said
