The Diamond Warriors fell 12-1 to PRC in the opening round Thul'S– day and rallied for a 7- 6 win over Northwest Mississippi Community College Friday. Pearl River advanced to the championship round with LSU-Eunice Saturday night but t he Wildcats wet·e blanked 5-0 by the Tigers who won the title without a loss in t he three-day toUl'nament. The Wild– cats (41-14) would have needed two wins over LSU-Eunice to claim the championship.
