East Central Band Department announces Apri) concert schedule

Sever.U concerts are sched– uled in April 2013 by vanous performing groups of the East Central Community College Band Department, announced Hunter Corhem, Director of Bands. The ECCC "Ntght of Percussion" will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18 m Huff

Audttorium on the Decatur cam– pus. 1n addttion to performances by ECCC's Mallet Ensemble · and Percussion Ensemble, per– cussion groups from Leake Central High School and Mendian High School will per– tonn. Door prizes will also be pro– vided. ECCC's "Night of Jazz" is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 in Huff Auditorium. The College's Jazz Band will be the featured performers. A .. doubleheader" of music takes place Monday, April 29 on the Decatur campus. The Concert Band will per-

form an outdoor concert of movie scores and pop music at 3:30 p.m. at the Pavilion oext to the walking track on North Campus. Corhem encourages those planmng to attend "to bring blankets, lawn chairs and a pic– nic basket and enjoy the music!" Later that day the Collegians - EC's rock "n" roll band - will present their spnng campus con– cert at 8 p.m. in Huff Auditorium. All events are free and open to the public.
