LA.softball standouts sign with ECCC Leake Academy softball stand–

The Lady Diamond Warrior signees helped lead Leake Academy to three MAIS State AA and North State titles and four District 2AA championships. outs Anna Katherine Nowell, seated, second from left, of Philadelphia and Hannah Peoples, seated third from left, of Carthage are shown signing national letters of intent to continue their careers at East Cen tral Community College in Decatur. Nowell, a second baseman, has received numerous honors, including her selection as MAIS Offensive Player of the Year. She is also a three-time All-State selection and received All-District honors on three occasions. Nowell owns a .489 career batting average with 108 RBis. She also has 58 stolen bases and has scored 99 runs. Peoples, a shortstop, is also a recipient of numerous honors, including MAIS All-Star and MAIS All-Star Game North Most Valuable Player.
