EC Warriors fall to Struggles continue on the six near midfield.

EC missed another scoring opportunity late in first-half

gridiron for the young East Central Community Warriors who were victims of another nationally-ranked team Thursday at Bailey Stadium. After trailing just 7-0 follow– ing first-period action, East Central was simply no match for the No. 3 Jones County Junior College Bobcats who added 24 points in the second quarter on their way to an easy 47-0 victo– ry. Jones County improved to 6- 0 overall and leads the MACJC South Division with a 4-0 mark. East Central dropped to 0-6 and 0-4. "Jones is a much-better foot– ball teamthan us," saidfirst-year Warrior head coach Ken Karcher in a post-game inter– view. "We had a couple of chances (to score) but when you don't capitalize against a good team you're not going to have those things happen." One such opportunity col– lapsed following the Bobcats' first score when the Warriors drove from their own 19 to the Jones County 32, where the drive stalled on fourth and short yardage. A highlight of the 49- yard march was JaDerrick Farrow's 12-yard run on a fake punt when EC faced fourth and
