The Warriors will hit the road in weeks five and six, heading to Southwest on Sept. 19 and Hinds on Sept. 26. Their final trip will be to Pearl River for their homecoming on Sat– urday, Oct. 19. It may be his first season at the Juco level, but Karcher isn't lacking the experience. He has been coaching for 22 years after fin– ishing up a four-year stint at Eastern Michigan University as the offensive coordi-

nator and quarterback coach. Karcher said he is excited to get into the new level, but with a realistic attitude about the youth ofthe team, but with hope for the future . A new coaching staff is generally a shake up, but 45 incoming freshmen will mean that the majority of the team is new to Juco football. "It makes you a lot nervous, we have a long way to go and like I said, it's going to be a great challenge," Karcher said. "Hope– fully, we won't make many mistakes and improve each week and put ourselves in posi– tion to win games at the end. 11
