Dr. McMillin bred Red– bone coonhounds and Simmental cattle, leading to his becoming a trustee of the American Redbone Coonhound Association and treasurer of the Mis– sissippi Simmental Association. He was a 1948 gradu– ate of Louisville High School and attended East Central Junior College on a football scholarship. He graduated from ECJC in 1950 and received an undergraduate degree in animal science from Mis– sissippi State University in 1952.
