ECCCAthletic Hall of Famers VISit Former Major League Baseball player Marcus Thames visited his fonner teacher and men– tor Lucille Wood following his recent induction in the East Central Community CollegeAthletic Han of Fame, which also includes the longtime Lady Warrior coach who is recog)'lized asapier neer in women's athletics. Thames, a Louisville native as is Miss Wood, spent 15 years in Major League Baseball following a stellar career as a member of the tate Jamie Clark's Diamond Warrior squad at EC. Thames received NJCAA All-American, All-Region and MACJC All-State honors and helped lead the 1997 Diamond Warriorstoarunner-up finish in the state tournament and a berth in the Region 23 Tournament en route to a record 40 season victo– ries.
