DECATUR- In recog– nition of her recent recognition 2013 Missis– sippi Humanities Council Teacher of the Year at East Central Community College, choral/vocal music instructor Vicki Blaylock of Newton will present "Music: The Ripple Effect" on Nov. 12. The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in Vickers Fine Arts Center Auditorium. Blaylock, who also serves as chairperson of the Division of Fine Arts, was selected for the honor by the Mississippi Humanities Council. Each year, the council honors one faculty member from each of the state's community col– leges and four-year col– leges and universities. For her upcoming
