No taxhikein ECCCbudget Tuition will increase $50 per semester

East Central Community College students will see a slight tuition hike when they return to school for the fall semester, but Newton County taxpayerswon't see a tax increase, EC President Billy Stewart told countysupervisors Thur day.

Tuition \"\ill rise $50 per se– mester from S940 to $990. Fees for part-time students will also go up, from $90 to $95 per credit hour. Cost for meals also rises, from 8765 to $790 for a five-day plan, and from $920 to $970 for a seven--daymeal ticket. All other fees will remain the same for the 2013-14 school year.

Like other community colleges in Missis– sippi, enrollment at ECCC dipped last year, Stewart said. The college saw an enrollment or 2,320 stu– dents last year spring, according to the report Stewart delivered to the county.
