ECCC hires pair of alums as assistant coaches

He is a 2007 graduate of Newton County High School, where he was a member of state champi– onship teams in

football coaches' staff at East Central Community College in Decatur, announced head coach BrianAnderson. Tate will serve as wide receivers coach. A 2007 graduate of Hattiesburg High School, Tate was a standout wide receiver on the 2007 and 2008 Warrior squads and earned honorable men– tion MACJC All-State honors in 2007. Tate received an asso– ciate's degree in liberal arts in December 2008. He continued his foot– ball career at Nicholls State University in Thibo– daux, La., and received All-Conference Academic honors from 2009-11.
