Basketball standout Tyler Hearn-Ferguson (seated left) of West Jones High School is shown signing a national letter of intent to continue her career at East Central Community College in Decatur. Hearn-Fer– guson, a 5-5 guard, averaged 15 points per game in leading West Jones in scoring during the 2011-12 season. She was also an All-District selection and received her team's most valuable player award. Sharon Pendarvis served as her head coach. Seated at right is ECCC assistant coach Britta Stephens. Former high school basketball standout Jenny Wilbanks is shown signing a national letter of intent with East Central Community College m Decatur. Wilbanks, a 6' forward, is a 2011 graduate of Leake Academy, where she received numerous honors while playing for Coach Doyle Wolverton. She was selected 201 0-11 MAIS Player of the Year and was named most valuable player of the 2011 MAIS All– Star Game. She also received All-State and District MVP honors. Wilbanks scored 991 points her senior season and averaged 22.4 points per game.
