ECCC Warrior netters beat Hinds From press reports The East Central Community College
In men's singles, Calvert defeatedHarper (6-1, 7-5) and Mays clipped Fountain (6-2, 6- 3). Peoples and Stovall won their matches by default. In other results, French fell to Horbik (6· 0, 6-0) and Cochran lost to Blissard 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8). In women's competi– tion, the Lady Warriors were blanked 9-0. CassieMunn and Lau– ren Lurk, both of New– ton County, fell 8-2 in their doubles match. In singles, Munn was defeated 6-0, 6-0; Lurk fell 6-0. 6-3; and Kelsey Tadlock lost 6-2, 6-1. men's tennis team recorded a 6-3 victory over Hinds Community College Tuesday, Feb. 21 in competition held at Gaddis Park in Forest. Blake Cochran of Newton County and Josh Peoples of Leake Academy helped lead the Warriors to victory by defeating C. Harper and E. Fountain 8-5 in doubles competition. Lucas Calvert of Neshoba Central and Hunter Stovall of Philadelphia were also victorious in doubles, winning their match by default. Levi French of Union and Chris Mays of Louisville were de· feated 8-0 by Y. Horbik and G. Blissard.
