Scholarship Sophomore LaJoya Griffin, a graduate of Philadelphia High School, is the recipient of the Jacob Stovall Memorial Scholarship at East Centr..I Community College in Decatur. The award was presented dur– ing the annual AT&T Scholarship Awards Program held June 8 in Huff Auditorium. A luncheon was held in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria following the awards ceremony. Jones receives Bowen Scholarship Hannah Jones, left, a graduate of Leake Academy, is the recipient of the Dr. Frank and Bobbie McPhail Bowen Scholarship at East Central Community College in Decatur. Also pictured is Dr. Frank Bowen of Carthage, who, along with his late wife, Bobbie, established this scholarship for a Leake County graduate who finishes in the top 10 percent of his or her high school class and enrolls as a full-time stu– dent at ECCC the fall semester following high school grad– uation.
