Receives Thornton-Emerson Electric Scholarship Sophomore Tanner Fortenberry, a graduate of Union High School, IS the recipient of the Kinoth and Ella Mae Thornton and Emerson Bectnc Scholarst\1p at East Central Community College mDecatur The scholarship was established by the Thorntons and Emerson Electric in 1991 as a tribute to the college for its many positive contributions to the Thomtons' lives. The award was presented during the annual AT&T Scholarship Awards Program hold Uune 8 in Huff Auditorium. A luncheon was held m Mabry Memorial Cafeteria following the awards ceremony. Owing the 2012 event, 136 students recetved 111 endowed or annual scholarshipS totaling app10ximately $74,000 in value (EC Photo)
