RECEIVES FIRST CHAIR HONORS

These local musicians received first chair, first band honors during the 34th annual East Central Community Col– lege Invitational Band Clinic held recently on the Decatur campus. The two-day clinic is comprised of first and second bands, which include the top musicians from the ECCC district. The clime concludes with a concert in Huff Aud itorium. Students receiving f1rst chair first band honors and their respective schools include (front row, from left) Conner Bell (tenor saxophone) and Krista Greenwood (baritone saxophone), both of Leake Central; Ashley Cumberland (flute), Destiny Files (contra-alto clarine~), and Zach Peden (alto saxophone), all of Nashoba Central: Nina LaBue (trumpet), Newton County; Evan Derrick (trombone), Morton; Katie Bradley (horn), Newton County; and Kayla Sudduth (baritone). Carson serves as ECCC Director of Bands. Ed Glrling serves as ass1stant director of ECCC bands.
