EC 1-8 Coplah-Lincoln 2-4 After falling 2-1 in the opener, EC rallied for an 8-4 victory in the second contest with Copiah– Linc9ln Thursday at Wesson. Following the split, EC's record stood at 24-9 overall and 8-4 in league play, while Co-Lin's record was 13-17 and 4- 10. Jones and Gulf Coast are tied for the division lead with 10-2 marks. Jones is 26-3 overall and Gulf Coast sports a 19-5 overall mark. In the opener, Co-Lin scored its two runs in the first inning and EO earned its only run in the second. Brittany Pounders had a double and Haylee Roberts, Lajoya Grif£in, Tenna Patterson, Kelsi Watson, and Haelie Allen each had a single for EC. Patterson took the loss, allowing the two runs on six hits through six innings. She fanned five and walked three. In the second contest, EO's bats came alive early as the squad scored seven runs in the first inning. Dakota Vowell's three– run triple in the first inning helped lead the offense.
