ECCCto host public forum From press reports East Central Commu– nity College (ECCC) has been serving the educa– tional needs of the com– munities since 1928 With an open-door pol~ icy and affordable tu– ition, the College has affected the lives of countless individuals who would otherwise not _have had the oppor– turuty to achieve their educational goals. With that in mind the College has embarked on a strategic planning process titled 2020 Vi– sion. "20/20 vision" is a term used to express the s~~rpness or clarity of VISion at a distance. This is college hopes to gain personal insights from community mem– bers to ensure that broad and diverse input is collected as they de– velop a strategic plan. Therefore, ECCC will participate in Public Fo– rums throughout the five-county service area

to solicit feedback from members of the commu– nity on the future of the College. The public forum in Winston County will be held at Lake Tiak O'Khata on January 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. "As the community's college we want to know how members of the community see the Col– lege now and in the fu– ture," stated school president Bill W. Stew– art.
