David Case will continue as director of InformationTech– nology but will assume amore direct role in the planning and research function of the col– lege. Ca;e will have direct . responsibility for the strategiC planning process of the college and implement the transforma– tion of data into information for more effective planning in the instructional and support functions of ECCC. Case joined the ECCC staff in 1995 and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree from Millsaps College. He is currently pursuing a doc– toral degree. Roger Whitlock, who previ– ously served as dean ofWork– force Development, is now dean ofWorkforce Education and Development. In his new role, Whitlock is responsible for all workforce-related activities, including tech prep conununica– tion and coordination with sec– ondary career/techcical ~ro-. grams in the five-county distrtct, adult basic education andGED activities for both the general public and in the area's busi– nesses and industries, credit instruction in post-secondary career/technical instruction,
