ECCC squads swept by Holmes East Central Community

Louise Collins of Pickens poured in 22 points in leading the Lady Bulldogs to their fmt victo– ry ofthe young campaign. Kierra Gilmore of Sallis contributed 20 points.

Broomfield of Scott Central led the Warriors with 18 points. Also scoring were Bobby Wrench of Columbus and Cordarion Nichols of Newton, 11 each; Marcus Henry of Thomastown and Hakeem Wesley, a product of Newton County High School, eight each; GlennThomas ofLoyd Star, four; Nafa Maring of University Park Academy in Houston, Texa<>, two; and Thomas Straughter of Jackson Callaway, one. DeAndre Scott of Yazoo had 22 point<. to lead the Bulldogs, who claimed theii first season victory. Demarcus Lewis of: Holmes led 40-29 at halftime. ECCC squads host Northeast Saturday, Nov. 5. Women's action begins at 2 p. m. followed by t11e men's contest at 4 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood. Canton ch1pped m 13 points.
