ECCC Sophomore Baseball Players Honored These sophomore members of the East Central Community College baseball team were honored during pre-game activities of their 2011 home finale at the Clark/Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur. Honorees and their respective high schools include (seated from left) outfielder Tyler Brant, Southaven; infielder/second baseman Charles Hill, Carthage; out– fielder Darmaal Moore, Stone County; catcher/infielder/ outfielder Jeremy May, Newton County; outfielder Jerrod Myers, Jackson St. Andrew's; right-handed pitcher/infielder Tyler Dalton, Winston Academy; and southpaw Bobby Bryan, Crossett (Ark.); and standing right– handed pitcher Joel McKee, Neshoba Central; southpaws Colton Mitchell of Lake and Pervis Mann of Carthage; right-hander Cal Cossich, Ocean Springs; southpaw Willard Bacon, Choctaw Central; first baseman Richie Long, Carthage; and third baseman, Vincent Kortbawi of Hale County H.S. in Moundville, Ala. The sophomore standouts were joined by family members for the special ceremony. ECCC swept Southwest Mississippi by scores of 10-3 and 9-3 en route to a 28-20 season record. The Diamond Warriors are led by head coach Neal Holliman.
