In slow-pitch, Vowell played shortstop and posted a .547 batting average with 22 RBis in helping lead the Lady Rockets to a 17-8 record. She was selected to participate in the MAC 4A-5A-6A All-Star Game scheduled at Newton County High School in June. In fast-pitch, Vowell was a catcher and batted .285 with 24 RBis for the Lady Rockets who finished 20-9. She threw out 50 percent of runners on stolen base attempts. She was an All-District selection and selected the Lady Rockets' most valuable player. Vow– ell was part of a senior class that went undefeated in district play two years in both slow– and fast-pitch softball (20-Q). The 2011 ECCC Lady Diamond Warriors won the MACJC State Softball Tournament, finished second in the Region 23 Tournament and tied for fifth in the NJCAA Division II Softball National Championship en route to a 37-15 record.
